FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is CINPIX?
CINPIX is a global digital cinema presenting film festivals and curated programs through scheduled screenings, allowing audiences from different countries to enter the same screening at the same time.
2. How is CINPIX different from streaming platforms?
CINPIX is not an on-demand service. Films begin at designated times, and viewers enter the digital theater at the scheduled moment, participating in a screening as it unfolds.
3. Can I watch films at any time?
No. Each film is presented at a specific screening time. Once the screening concludes, replay is generally not available.
4. What is a Festival Pass?
A Festival Pass is a digital access credential for a specific festival edition. With a valid pass, you may reserve screenings during the festival period and attend them according to the published schedule.
5. What is a digital ticket stub?
A digital ticket stub serves as your access credential to a specific screening.
- For single-ticket purchases, the ticket stub is issued immediately upon payment.
- For Festival Pass holders, the ticket stub is issued once a screening reservation is successfully confirmed.
A valid ticket stub is required to enter the digital theater at the scheduled screening time.
6. Why can I only reserve one screening at a time?
CINPIX follows the time-based structure of traditional film festivals. Within the same screening window, only one active reservation is permitted to ensure alignment between reservation and actual viewing.
7. What does completed viewing mean?
When a viewer watches a film within the official screening window and reaches the system-defined viewing threshold, the screening is recorded as a completed viewing. Completed viewing is used for statistical and festival reporting purposes and does not affect ticket stub issuance.
8. Are there attendance limits for certain screenings?
Yes. Some films or screenings may have limited capacity. Once the maximum attendance is reached, further reservations or purchases will no longer be available. Access is granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
9. What devices are currently supported?
At present, screenings are available on PC browsers only. Mobile viewing is not yet supported.
10. Do I need to create an account?
Yes. An account is required in order to purchase tickets, reserve screenings, and access your viewing records.
11. Is CINPIX available worldwide?
CINPIX is accessible internationally. Certain films may be subject to territorial limitations depending on licensing arrangements.
12. Who is CINPIX for?
CINPIX is intended for audiences who wish to enter a film at a defined moment and experience it within a shared context. It offers a space for collective viewing and exchange.
