Biography

Donald C. Rogers (May 4, 1931 — January 4, 2026) was an American sound designer. Beginning as a playback operator on There's No Business Like Show Business (1954), Rogers worked on a wide variety of films including, but not limited to, They Saved Hitler's Brain (1968), Hello Dolly! (1969), Nashville (1975), Rocky (1976), The Last Waltz (1978), Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979), Airplane!, Xanadu (both 1980), Ragtime (1981), Grease 2 (1982), The Right Stuff (1983), Sixteen Candles, Gremlins, Purple Rain, Dune (all 1984), The Goonies (1985), Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Little Shop of Horrors (both 1986), Beetlejuice (1988), Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), and Se7en (1995).
