Teruo Yoshida is a prominent Japanese actor and singer best known for his extensive work in mid-20th-century Japanese cinema. Born on March 23, 1936, in Osaka, Japan, he went on to graduate from Ritsumeikan University before launching his entertainment career. Yoshida is most highly recognized for his close, long-lasting collaboration with legendary cult director Teruo Ishii. During the late 1960s, he became a signature leading man in Ishii's provocative and taboo-busting genre films.
